Formerly known as Lo Spettatore Internazionale (1966 - 1982),
The International Spectator: Italian Journal of International Affairs is actively publishing since 1983 as the Journal of the Istituto Affari Internazionali.
Journal information
Print ISSN: 0393-2729 Online ISSN: 1751-9721
The International Spectator aims to provide academics, practitioners, opinion- and decision-makers, as well as interested laymen with thought-provoking, analytically sound, theoretically informed and policy-oriented research articles, opinion essays and book reviews on foreign policy issues. Topics cover the entire spectrum of international affairs from ongoing international politics, economics and security affairs to rising questions on the international agenda such as climate and energy, global migration and development.
Peer Review
The two kinds of articles published – opinion essays and research articles – undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial in-house screening and double-blind anonymous refereeing by at least two independent, expert reviewers. The journal welcomes submissions on all aspects of international politics, economics and security affairs in – and from – all the world's regions.
